Lansing, Michigan

Lansing, as we're sure you're aware, is the capital of the state of Michigan. It's located almost entirely in Ingham County, although some smaller portions of the city reach into Eaton County. According to the 2010 census, the city has a population of over 114 thousand people. That number makes it the fifth largest city in the state of Michigan. The Lansing Metropolitan Area, also known as "Mid-Michigan" is a huge center for education, culture, government, commercial, and industrial functions. It is well known that Lansing is home to MSU but it's also home to two different medical schools, and the Michigan State Capitol!

Different Areas

Downtown Lansing is generally overtaken by state government buildings, namely the State Capitol. That said, downtown Lansing Lansing has recently experienced a great growth in new restaurants, retail stores, and even residential developments like loft spaces and other modern-styled dwellings.

Divisions of Lansing

Lansing is divided into four sections. East, West, South, and Northwest. Each area contains a diverse array of neighborhoods! The Eastside is defined by being east of Grand River and north of the Red Cedar River. It's the most ethnically diverse side of Lansing. It's got more foreign born citizens than any other area of the city. The Westside is regarded the most socioeconomically diverse sections of Lansing. This side also contains Lansing's downtown area which most likely has to do with the socio-economic diversity.

Where else can you get great Mexican in Lansing, that has like a bazillion different combinations you can pick from? I personally love the chalupa, burrito, and enchilada combo, and the burrito, taco, and enchilada combo. It's all great stuff, absolutely great stuff, from a place that knows how to do real Mexican.

My favorite night to come here is mug night, and that's because I always have a good time with my boys!! The burgers here are surely great too, I think the bacon cheese burger is the best one by far. This is also a great place to watch the game and just chill and relax, love it!!

Ok, so I love love this place a ton!! They have so many different types of hot dogs, of which I am proud to say I've almost tried every single one of them. It's just a genuinely great place to enjoy a honestly great hot dog!

This is one of the best places I've ever eaten at!! I love their spicy chicken Caesar, and their Wisconsin Cheesesteak is undoubtedly great too. Great place, great service, I can't say enough good things about it.

The chili nachos are by far the best thing on the menu at this place, and they go great with a bread bowl of chili, of which is unquestionably big. But yeah, the chili nachos are where it's at for me. They are big, bold, and delicious!!

Ok, so I can't remember the name of the burger I had, but it's got an egg on top of it with jalapeños, and it was truly good. It was full of flavor, and just super tasty. I recommend you try it, if you get the chance to come here.
